中国将对南美五大葡萄酒生产国试行免签政策
On May 15, 2025, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian announced during a regular press briefing that China will expand its visa-free policy for foreign travelers, with immediate effect, as part of efforts to facilitate international travel and exchanges further.
From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, citizens of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay holding ordinary passports will be eligible for a 30-day visa-free entry to China. The policy applies to travelers entering China for purposes including business, tourism, visiting relatives, exchanges, and transit stays of up to 30 days.
The announcement came after a high-profile forum among Chinese and Latin American and Caribbean officials in Beijing earlier this week.
China has been offering visa-free policies to citizens from dozens of countries including most of the European nations, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and the upcoming Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay to boost the economy after strict pandemic travel measures.
